Paint with colors!

I love colors! On everything! And together! I recently noticed this trend to paint with several different colors in a room. For example to use an accent color on a door and then another around the windows. Very interesting if you ask me. It gives the room life and still it's calmer than to use wallpapers. I'm thinking about making my hall dark pink, but now I've started to think that maybe I should make it in different pink combinations instead. Or maybe I should paint the kitchen window, or maybe just around the doors in the living room, or maybe....

Elsa Beskow collection

When I was out the other day to find a christmas present for a friend, I ran into the collaboration between Design House Stockholm and designer Catharina Kipple. Catharina has interpreted and reworked the Swedish author Elsa Beskow's traditional children's book illustrations into wonderful prints on mugs, trays and kitchen towels. For me, who grew up with Elsa Beskow's stories it's brings back a lot of memories about my fantasies I used to have as a kid and how much I liked to just sit and look at her illustrations and imagine my own stories. I think a lot of the products are perfect for Christmas and I would like to have them all!!

1st of advent; vintage christmas inspiration!

Today it's the 1st of advent. I have never really liked christmas but for some reason I feel quit keen on it this year. I actually looking forward to do all the decorating and above all to bake of curse. If you're going to decorate, I think you should go vintage. Look through the old boxes down in the basement or maybe visit some old grandmother and try to get a hold of some nice old christmas decorations. I don't like all this new christmas crap, let's go back to some genuine quality stuff! Here are some great inspiration pictures and some things I would like to get:

I found a new ceramist I love; Nathalie Choux! I don't know more about her than that she is a French illustrator and ceramist that does the most amazing fantasy figures! I have not figured out where and if you can buy her work, so if any one knows, please tell me!
