In a world of speed, slow motion is the new beauty...

I went to a trend presentation today that really made me think about how we live. All the speakers were talking about speed and technology. They were talking about that today we live in an online reality, we are always accessible. So todays luxury is integrity and slowness, to enjoy the quality in handmade products and  appreciate the time it takes to make them. I couldn't agree more. For me luxury is to find that special thing that is unique and has it's own story to tell, that is made with craftmenship and passion. I also like the concept of unplugging; to spend time in silence and on places where mobile phones doesn't work. For me, my home is my place to find recovery from the busy world outside, but our apartment is a little bit to small to create a silent space where you can just sit back and look out the window and think. My dream is to have a small house, maybe a cabin in the woods close to the water where I can just be, to find inspiration and new ideas...
